Hello everyone! Dave Whitman here with another “Did you know” segment. I would like to talk about house numbers and why they are so important. Displaying highly visible house numbers helps with the following…..

*Emergency (911) services being able to respond as quick as possible to the correct address.

*Our town work crew for being able to identify properties clearly for issues like water and sewer.

*The delivery of mail/packages.

We are asking that all residents in Rock Hall clearly mark their properties with a highly visible house number. This topic has come up quite a bit so hopefully we can address this issue to help our first responders and town work crews out! There would be nothing worse than an emergency occur and emergency services being delayed because of an unclear/unmarked structure. There are plenty of places to purchase house numbers…..

*Local hardware stores…which I recommend helping support local business here in Rock Hall.

*Home Depot/Lowes

Some people get creative and make there own as well! If you do this just make sure it is clearly visible. We do have local artists that I’m sure would help with creating something unique and visible to display your numbers.
