Rock Hall's New Years Celebration A SUCCESS!

Rock Hall's New Years Eve/Day Celebration was a HUGE success, thank you to the NYE planning committee, our DJ and entertainment Buddy and Tammy Hardy-Fauber with E-O-K Entertainment which was a donation to the town by the way, the Hat Parade Coordinators and the Parks and Recreation Board, special thanks to Carolyn Jones and Miss. Nancy, an enormous thanks to our Main Street Manager Meg Parry, of course NONE of this would have been possible without our town employees who worked around the clock to make sure everything was ready, Kevin J Middleton, Troy White, Taylor Walker, Timmy Edwards, Denny Dalrymple, our Town Manager Ron Fithian who also volunteered and drove the Tram for everyone and donated his time for that, our ladies in the office Stephanie Meredith Loller and Lacey Townsend Cox. In addition, the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company is always there to support us and we could not have had the fish drop without them, special thanks to Mike Pinder, Jennifer Short Pinder, Stormy White, Cory Roberts, Kayla Crew, and TBird Toulson. Most of all thank you to those who came and supported the events, and those who participated in the Hat Parade, Congratulations to the winners! As midnight approached, we had the countdown displayed on the water, a special thank you to Kevin L Nelson for constructing our water for us, special thank you to Karen Nelson for assisting with everything and the town crew again for constructing our 2017 sign. As 12 PM on New Years Day approached, a large crowd gathered at the Rock Hall Beach for the BIG DIP organized by the RHVFC, special thank you to Jack Bigelow for stepping up and helping Rock Hall keep a tradition alive. We had multiple volunteers assisting with traffic control including our Auxiliary Police, Elva Webb and RHPD. THANK YOU for keeping us safe! As you can see it took a magnitude of volunteers and workers to pull this off but we did it and it was a SUCCESS! Thank you to our businesses who contributed as well, Pasta Plus+ and New Yarmouth Cafe and all others who donated a prize for the Hat Parade. Its amazing what Rock Hall can accomplish when everyone works together. For 2017, lets keep on rolling with this positive energy! Happy New Year everyone! I am sure I missed someone that deserves thanks, please shoot me a message if I forgot you. OH! and congratulations to Kenny Smith and Elizabeth Proffitt on their engagement! In case you missed it, Kenny proposed to Elizabeth on Main Street shortly after the fish dropped! The new years celebration will surely be an event that so many will remember for years to come!
