Mayor's Youth Advisory Council

The Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council (MYAC) is an advisory council organized to offer youth an opportunity to participate in the Town government and provide a youthful point of view for the Town Council on community affairs and issues. The MYAC also offers participants an overview of the complexity of local government and a variety of public service opportunities, and empowers youth from various backgrounds to become active members in their community, encouraging them to have an everlasting effect on the future of Rock Hall.

The MYAC serves Rock Hall through community participation, including organized participation in various Town-sponsored activities and events, and taking initiatives directed toward effective change that benefits local youth and provides positive community impact.

Develop youth leaders committed to learning about local government and the roles they can have in it; make a difference in the community and the lives of youth; recognize and use the voice of Rock Hall’s youth; and represent Rock Hall’s youth.
