2017 Holiday Decorating Contest

2017 Holiday Decorating Contest sponsored by: Haven Harbour

Contest Rules: 
Participation is open to all residential homes within the boundaries of the Town of Rock Hall.

Entry is free, no cost or fees apply.

Sign up at Town Hall no later than 4pm on Monday, December 11, 2017.

Contest is for exterior decorations only, including decorations in windows that are visible from the exterior. Judging will be done from outside the residence only.

Judging will be based on “curb appeal” as viewed from the street only. Therefore, only those decorations located on the street side of the property will be judged (corner lots will be judged from both streets). Judges will not enter the property to view back or side yards.

Judging criteria will include:
1. Unique design and creative use of lights and decorations;
2. Storyline or theme;
3. Display and placement of decorations, animated objects, etc.; and
4. Overall presentation.

Judging will be done from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, 12/14/17.

Participants should ensure that all lights, animations and decorations are in place and activated for the judging period.

Three prizes will be awarded:
1st prize of $250
2nd prize of $150
3rd prize of $100

Winners will be announced on Friday, 12/15/17 at 3 PM at the Town Hall. Winners need not be present to win and if not present will be notified by telephone.
