Just a Friendly Reminder - The Residential Brush Pile Is Still Closed

Brush Pile

Unfortunately, after much deliberation and attempts with the Kent County Commissioners at negotiating the discontinuance of their yard waste operations, the Mayor & Council voted to permanently close the Brush Pile at the Lagoon in Rock Hall.

The Town of Rock Hall does not have funding this budget year to have the necessary contractor with equipment to mulch the brush pile.

Please see the attached letter from the Kent County Commissioners advising the Town of the discontinuation of services.  However, Kent County is allowing Rock Hall Residents to use the Nicholson Drop-off Center on Earl Nicholson Road FREE OF CHARGE.

We share in your disappointment and if there are any changes to the Commissioners’ decision or any changes at all, we will advise.
