Thanks so much to all of you who have already responded to the survey!
As some of you may be aware, the Town of Rock Hall needs to do major repairs to its Water and Sewer Plants. In addition, the Town needs to upgrade its water meters so that they can be read electronically which will significantly reduce the labor costs involved with quarterly utility billing.
These projects are critical and unfortunately very expensive. In order to apply for the grant funds, the Town needs to collect income data from all users of the Town’s water and sewer systems. Users include those who live within the Town limits and those who reside in surrounding areas who are billed by the County for services provided by Rock Hall’s facilities.
The information that is needed is very basic – we need to know how many people are in your household and what range your annual income falls into. There are four general information questions as well. Your responses will be kept strictly confidential in the Town Hall Office and will only be used for the purpose of qualifying the Town for a Community Development Block Grant application. Your name and address are not required.
If you receive a survey form and letter in the mail, please help us by completing the survey card and returning it to the Town Office as soon as possible – our deadline is now Saturday, March 30th. A postage paid return envelope will be enclosed for your convenience. If you would prefer you can bring your survey card to the Town Hall any weekday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Town Office at 410-639-7611.
Thank you in advance for your time and prompt attention to completing this survey. In order to apply for the grant, we must have an 80% response rate. We are currently at 36% - we cannot stress enough the importance of your response. Your part in helping to make that happen is greatly appreciated.
