MAINSTAY - A Special Dick Durham Concert

Mainstay favorite and virtuoso jazz pianist Dick Durham’s concerts at the Mainstay are always a special event. This one is extra-special as we help him celebrate his 80th birthday. Dick decided to make the piano a central part of his life during his college days. During his army days an officer heard him playing in a local club (while he was AWOL) and the next day he was placed in the Army band alongside other jazz greats like Grover Washington Jr. and Billy Cobham. What’s happened since then is local music history.
