ESRREC Outreach Building Open House

In January 2023, ESRREC began a new chapter. After 8 years of managing a shelter on Main Street, we closed it down and became a foster-only rescue. However, we still want to be here for the community.

Therefore we rented the “Outreach Building” in Rock Hall Village in order to host occasional adoption meet and greets, scheduled adoption meetings, and raising funds/awareness during special events that bring a lot of visitors to Main Street (e.g., July 4th Parade, Pirates Weekend).

We remain a volunteer-based nonprofit organization dedicated to re-homing abandoned pet rabbits. All ESRREC rabbits are spayed/neutered, vaccinated for RHDV2, and litter box trained. We believe that if adopters are educated on bunny care, less rabbits will meet the sad fate of the impulsive "Easter gifts" that are discarded by families who were unprepared for the commitment.
