MAINSTAY - Washington's Camerata - Harpsicord, Gamba, and Flute

Washington's Camerata is a period instrument trio dedicated to the music of the 17th and 18th centuries. They are currently in residence at the historic St. George’s Episcopal Church in Fredericksburg, VA, where the ensemble performs in conjunction with the popular chamber music series, Beautiful Music in a Beautiful Space.


Harpsichordist Bozena Jedrzejczak Brown holds a Masters degree in Performance from The Peabody Institute, and studied at The Frederic Chopin Conservatory of Music in Warsaw, Poland. Bozena free-lances as a continuo player on harpsichord and chamber organ, and has performed with many groups in the Mid-Atlantic region, including the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, Mid-Atlantic Symphony, and Bach Concert Series Orchestra.

Zane Baker is a Baroque Cellist and Viola da Gambist, currently in the Baltimore area. Mr. Baker has performed in early music concerts, ensembles, and festivals including Boston Early Music Festival and the Washington Bach Consort’s concerts, the Baltimore Baroque Band, the Peabody Renaissance ensemble, Amherst Early Music Festival, and the Baroque Performance Institute at Oberlin Conservatory.

Flutist Dr. Kelly Kazik holds degrees from The Lawrence Conservatory, The University of North Texas, and The University of Maryland. Dr. Kazik specializes in historical performances on 18th century flutes. In addition to her private flute studio, Dr. Kazik runs the Greater Fredericksburg Chapter of the American Recorder Society.
