MAINSTAY - Hugh and Mada Piano Duo
Romanian-born pianist Madalina Danila and Korean-American pianist Hugh Sung join creative forces to present their signature 4-hand piano duo program that has thrilled audiences around the world. A 4-hand piano duet is when two pianists play together on a single piano, each taking up one part of the score. The synergy required and the visual appeal of watching two pianists at one instrument is unparalleled and provides listeners with a richer sound palette.
Madalina-Claudia Danila is a Romanian born pianist who is currently pursuing her Doctoral Studies in Piano Performance at Temple University. She has competed in and won several national and international prizes. She has performed solo, concerto, and chamber music concerts extensively in the USA and abroad, most recently in Paris in with the New York Classical Music Society.
Hugh Sung has been hailed as one of the finest collaborative pianists of his generation. He has worked extensively with the Philadelphia and Baltimore Symphony Orchestras and served on the faculty of The Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia for 19 years as its Director of Student Recitals and Instrumental Accompaniment.
