Welcome to the Office of the Mayor
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Town of Rock Hall’s web site and Office of the Mayor's Page.
I hope that this site helps you understand just exactly why our citizens and visitors love the Town of Rock Hall so much. You will discover how diverse, rich in history, family and community oriented our Town is. Also, I hope that you find why we are so dedicated to preserving the wholeness of our community.
The website will provide you with some useful information about the Town. With that information you will understand better why Rock Hall remains such an important part of the Kent County region. To begin with, here are some facts that you may not know.
The town was named for a mansion made of white sandstone, and was incorporated in 1908.
Rock Hall served as a shipping point for tobacco, seafood and other agricultural products, as well as a passenger transport connection for travelers during the Colonial era.
Famous Americans, such as George Washington, James Madison and others have passed through Rock Hall numerous times traversing between Virginia and their northbound destinations.
Our citizens continue to work together to accomplish our goal of keeping Rock Hall whole. The many, many volunteers on our Boards and Commissions show that commitment. Our dedicated elected and appointed officials and employees demonstrate daily our firm resolve to serve our residents.
Please accept my invitation to explore this site and the Office of the Mayor. If you cannot find what you are looking for, do not hesitate to contact my office or one of our Councilmembers, Town Manager or staff for the information you need.
