A Thanksgiving Message

A Thanksgiving Message

from Mayor Brian L. Jones

On Thanksgiving, we gather with family, friends and loved ones to enjoy an American tradition. This special holiday provides us with an opportunity to put aside our differences, and unite to give thanks for what matters most in our lives.

This Thanksgiving, the Town of Rock Hall has so much for which we are grateful. We have established new relationships with state representatives, secured grant funding and resources from different agencies, achieved new community designations, made extensive improvements to the town’s infrastructure, enjoyed record breaking crowds for our special events, and presented numerous community spirit awards throughout the year.

I would like to give special thanks to our Town employees for their tremendous hard work, dedication, and commitment to looking after and working for “The Pearl of the Chesapeake”. It is because of your teamwork and perseverance that the town remains successful.

But what truly makes Thanksgiving so special is all of our volunteers and citizens. I sincerely thank all of you for your continued participation, dedication, and involvement in all of our Town programs, activities, and initiatives. The passion, commitment and support you demonstrate shines brightly as we continue to work together to create a safe, vibrant, affordable, interconnected and sustainable Town.

“Nice people live here” is Rock Hall’s signature. I encourage all of us to reach out and help those in need this holiday. By sharing the gifts of service, fellowship, kindness and compassion. Together, we make Rock Hall a community where everyone wants to live, work, play, visit and raise a family.

 Happy Thanksgiving
