Hometown Hero Banner Ceremony – April 10

Event Date:
Friday, April 10, 2015 - 5:00pm

The 2nd Rock Hall Hometown Hero Banner Ceremony has been scheduled for April 10th, 2015 at 5 PM at the Rock Hall American Legion. Invitations will be sent to the families and the public is encouraged to attend!

The “Hometown Heroes” project is co-sponsored by American Legion Post No. 228 and the town of Rock Hall, and with the approval of the honorees’ families. It is a “memorial honoring local veterans, fallen soldiers, and men and women currently serving our country on active duty in any one of the military branches.

The program’s mission is to recognize and honor local soldiers for their service, and is to serve as a living memorial to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

The Legion auxiliary will provide light refreshments and a cash bar will be available at Friday evenings dedication ceremony. There will be a brief overview of the project, to be followed by unveiling of the banners – so that the honorees and/or their families can see them before they are put up around town on that same evening.
