Mayor and Council Special Meeting
COUNCIL VACANCY CANDIDATE FORUM
The Town of Rock Hall will hold a public candidate forum for individuals seeking appointment to the vacant Town Council seat.
Date: Thursday, June 4, 2026
Time: 6:00 PM
Location: St. John's Hall - 5557 Main St, Rock Hall.
Interested Candidates were asked to submit a letter of interest to the Town.
Candidates who submitted those letters and will be participating in the forum are:
• Allan Townsend
• David Jones
• Anthony Colache
• Elizabeth Tussing
• Sibusiso Ngwenya
The forum will provide the Mayor, Council, and residents an opportunity to hear directly from each candidate regarding their qualifications, perspectives, and interest in serving the Town of Rock Hall. The forum is expected to last approximately 90 minutes.
Residents are encouraged to attend in person or watch remotely via GoTo Meeting or Town Hall Streams using these links provided by the Town.
In accordance with the Town Charter, the Mayor and Council will fill the vacancy by vote at the June 11, 2026 Business Meeting. Prior to that meeting, Town staff will verify that all candidates meet the eligibility requirements established by the Charter.
