Town of Rock Hall Public Notice - Ordinance No. 2022-01

TOWN OF ROCK HALL PUBLIC NOTICE

Ordinance No. 2022-01 Chapter 225 (Zoning) Code of the Town of Rock Hall.

The purpose of this public notice is to notify the citizens of the Town of Rock Hall of Ordinance No. 2022-01, which was introduced by the Council during their regular monthly meeting held on March 10, 2022. Ordinance No. 2022-01, if passed, would amend Chapter 225 (Zoning) of the Code of the Town of Rock Hall by approving and adopting the proposed Critical Area Map for the Town of Rock Hall provided by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and the Critical Area Commission as the Official Critical Area Overlay District Map for the Town of Rock Hall. The foregoing constitutes a fair summary of Ordinance No. 2022-01 as introduced by the Council on March 10, 2022. The Council held a public hearing on Ordinance No. 2022-01 on March 10, 2022 during their regular monthly meeting and continued the public hearing to April 14, 2022 to allow for additional public comment. The continued public hearing will be held on April 14, 2022 during the Council’s regular monthly meeting commencing at 6:00 p.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church, 5621 Main Street, Rock Hall, Maryland, during which time interested citizens shall be afforded an opportunity to provide comments and ask questions regarding Ordinance No. 2022-01.

Individuals wishing to observe the public hearing may do so in person or online by going to the Town’s website, www.rockhallmd.gov. Individuals wishing to comment during the hearing may do so in person or by joining the public hearing online using GoToMeeting at https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/949645733 or by calling (872) 240-3212 and entering 949- 645-733 as the access code.

The Council intends to act upon Ordinance No. 2022-01 on April 14, 2022 immediately following the public hearing. Written comments submitted in advance of the public hearing shall be considered provided that they are delivered to the Town Office no later than 12:00 p.m. on April 14, 2022. Copies of Ordinance No. 2022-01, including the proposed Critical Area Map, will be available to the public on the Town’s website.
